ravelling around the world is a hot topic in our house at the moment as one child is off to Uganda and the eldest is in Koh Samui....got me thinking wistfully about my own travels around south east Asia with Samantha all those moons away....when I looked at my diary which I kept while travelling I realised that I had been to all the places that Francesca had been texting me about! Here are some pages from that diary/sketchbook and my Heyday!
efinitely finding it harder to find something interesting to paint every day but have not yet succumbed to cheating! here are some entries in no particular order! not all of them are worthy of sharing!
ook club annual get together with husbands and without books on saturday was a reprieve from the incredible cold and january greyness that has swamped Molesey..... at least I have managed to get something down in the diary/sketchbook...it has definitely given me something to think about other than surviving the english winter!
ell I am still managing to paint a little sketch in my diary every day without cheating too much.... there is always something funny or amusing every day like the red car with a snowman on its roof whizzing by on the bridge, or John P carving 2 chickens for a lovely sunday lunch at the Pickersgills......but its trying to remember the details when I get home that is sometimes tricky!
nder he heavy snow clouds in Molesey Francesca has been beavering away on a whole sketchbook using just one colour - coral! Here are some of the pages that she did using found and made textures and materials...my favourite is the knitting with hand dyed strips of chiffon....
