lots of white hankies



I had really given up hope of ever seeing my hankerchief tree flowering as I bought it 15 years ago and it had never shown any sign of wanting to grace us with its spectacular white bracts that look like hanging hankerchiefs. So imagine my surprise when I realised that this was the year that it was going to happen!

    GARDENING IS SOMETIMES A LONG GAME ISNT IT! WELL DONE YOU - I WAS LISTENING TO THE RADIO LAST NIGHT AND SOMEONE HAD BOUGHT A PLANT FROM SOMEONE ELSE WHICH ONLY FLOWERS EVERY 25 YEARS
    - THEY HAD HAD IT FOR 23 AND IT FLOWERED THE YEAR HE BOUGHT IT - LUCKY FELLOW!
